Transcendental Meditation

by L. DiGiancarlo
(Argentina)

Transcendental meditation is a teaching based on ancient Vedic tradition of enlightenment in India. This meditation technique is widely practiced and researched all over the world. It is one of the most effective methods of self development. This technique allows your mind to flow beyond thought and consciousness. It is very silent and peaceful.

This type of meditation allows your brain to function at a greater level while your body is at a deep rest. It increases the brain's creativity, reduces stress, and it can be done anywhere, at the workplace, the classroom, and at home. This meditation should be done for 20 minutes a day at least three days a week. A healthy mind is a productive mind. In order for the mind to be at peace it must not be in turmoil, it must be in harmony with the subconscious, it must be in a state where it allows for physical and spiritual harmony.

This meditation technique consist of breathing exercises that take place with the eyes closed and the body in a comfortable place, followed by chants of sounds or words that can be from a series of areas, like affirmations, or natural comforting sounds.

I recommend Transcendental Meditation to everyone.
