Yoga Exercises for Strength, Bone Density and Longevity

Yoga Exercises, also known as Asanas, sometimes require us to hold challenging positions, which makes the body incredibly strong. This holding of the positions not only strengthens the body, but also helps build stronger bones, thereby eliminating the need for weights or exercise equipment.

Weight training is a great way to increase bone density, but certain yoga moves will require you to exert sufficient pressure with your own body weight to have a similar effect. Through the movements and exertion, enough weight and pressure is placed on the body for the bone's density to increase.

Yoga is the natural way to help your body fight Osteoporosis and other problems that can be related to aging, thereby promoting longevity and a youthful body. Of course, you should always consult your physician regarding any medical concerns.
